Easy Banana’s Fosters

It’s time to get ready for some fun Valentine’s desserts. Need to make a little sweet for your sweet….of course the pun was intended. Staying in for Valentines can be just as fun if not more than heading out to the overflowing restaurants. Here is a simple take on banana fosters that will be an outstanding way to end any meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 T. butter
  • 1/3 c. dark rum
  • ¼ c. water
  • ¼ c. sugar
  • Lemon squeeze
  • Ice Cream
  • Bananas, sliced

Directions:

  1. Melt butter in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat
  2. Mix water and rum together in small bowl
  3. Add sugar to melted butter
  4. Stir in rum mixture
  5. Bring to a boil
  6. Squeeze a little fresh lemon juice on mixture
  7. Continue to cook for four minutes
  8. Add sliced bananas to sauce and cook for about three more minutes
  9. Serve over ice cream
