Teddy Tea Party
Wednesday, January 12th, 2011Little girls love to play dress up and pretend, they also love to have tea parties. Why not have her invite all her teddy bears to a tea party and have your little hostess take the lead. The menu is simple but the possibilities are endless from presentation, decorations and of course imagination. With a little help from mom (or dad) this tea party should go off without a glitch.
Teddy cookies
Ingredients:
- 1 stick sweet butter, softened
- ½ c. brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 c. flour
- ¼ c. cocoa
- ½ t. baking soda
- ½ t. salt
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Grease cookie sheet with butter stick
- Cream butter and brown sugar together until creamy
- Beat in egg
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
- Add dry mixture to sugar and butter
- Drop balls onto cookie sheet and flatten slightly
- Bake for 15 minutes
Teddy Tea
- Apple juice warmed up for tea service
- Serve in tea cups if possible
