Hello Kitty Themed Party
Wednesday, May 12th, 2010If you have a little girl, chances are she’s a Hello Kitty fan. Girls and woman of all ages have taken a huge liking to the feline character.
Due to her huge popularity Hello Kitty items are easy to find at any party supply store and including Target, Walmart and other retailers. There you’ll find invitations, balloons, plates and cups that have the Hello Kitty logo.

Decorating tip: You don’t have to spend a large amount of money on Hello Kitty party supplies, instead focus on the main colors Hello Kitty uses (red, white or pink, purple, silver…etc) buying a simple table cloth that’s pink or red is much more affordable. Printing out your own invitations using Hello Kitty pictures is easy and inexpensive! Simple pink balloons and streamers are also budget friendly.
Once you’ve figured out what decorations you want, figuring out the menu is made simple, just follow these great ideas below…
Hello Kitty Sandwiches
Create your favorite sandwich combinations: simple ham and cheese, turkey breast with musturd, pastromi with pickles…etc. When you’re done simply use a cookie cutter to cut sandwiches into hearts. Or if you’re skillful, use a paring knife to cut out Hello Kitty’s face on each sandwich.
Pink Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Ingredients (for 12 strawberries):
Directions:
- Insert toothpicks into the tops of the strawberries.
- In a double boiler, melt the white chocolate and shortening, stirring occasionally until smooth.
- Add in couple drops of red food coloring slowly, so mixture turns pink.
- Dip the strawberries into the chocolate mixture. Turn the strawberries upside down and insert the toothpick into styrofoam for the chocolate to cool.
Strawberried Pink Lemonade
Create your own homemade lemonade or buy store made.
Directions: Take cups and lightly water the top of the cup and then dip in sugar to create a sugar rim on cup. Then place strawberry slieces in cups and fill with pink lemonade.
Hello Kitty Cookies
Buy any flavored cookie dough and have the children create their own kitty paw print cut-outs and then bake the cookies!
Hello Kitty Cupcakes
Choose your favorite flavor (I recommend strawberry), buy white icing and decorate with pink and black frosting by creating Hello Kitty’s face. Cupcakes can be made ahead of time or you can have the children create their own Hello Kitty face on their cupcake!
Don’t forget to have pleanty of fruit platters for children! Slieces of strawberries, kiwis and pineapples are big hits with kids!
Have fun and get creative!
